About the Justice Committee
The Justice Committee was democratically established on June 30, 2008 with the mandate to promote, protect and defend the Ras Tacuma case.
The current interests of the Justice Committee are (1) to vindicate I’Akobi Tacuma Maloney as related to drugs, (2) to see the alleged perpetrator(s) brought to justice, (3) to hold the Police accountable for the loss of this valuable human resource, (4) to eliminate the unjust profiling and harassment of Rastafari and (5) to set a precedent for Police to respect the rights, freedoms and liberties of Rastafari just like other citizens of Barbados.
