Diary found in I’Akobi’s bag

A DIARY ENTRY supposedly written by I’Akobi Maloney on the day he reportedly jumped off an 80-foot cliff in St Lucy to his death was presented to the coroner’s court yesterday.
Police handwriting expert Nola Murphy read out the entry to the court which was written on pages June 17 and June 18, in the black diary said to have been recovered from a black haversack he had on the day he died.
Murphy, who carried out a handwriting analysis of the diary with a specimen of another document written by Maloney and bearing his signature, testified that it was highly probable Maloney wrote the diary entry.
In it was written:
“Wow! Is all I can say. Sorry to disappoint you. It was fun while it lasted.
“I was headstrong, all I realise is that there’s no use sacrifice all you have to get more. I had everything, I have nothing. He that hath shall be given. He that hath not shall have it taken away. Is it so wrong to want more and try to get it? Maybe it is, but now I value the most important things (in) the order that I am supposed to.
“Life is the greatest wealth, health is the greatest treasure, to be true is the greatest job. To have privacy is not worth it if you want people to love you.
“Make peace with yourself and your God because when all desert you yeah even when you fail yourself miserably, he will forgive you.
“The greatest love is love of self, sorry the greatest love is love of God in heaven who preserves you.
“This was not in the plan. You could have let me off the hook knowing all you did. This is weird but it’s not so bad. Your spirit can sustain a broken spirit. Many think I have done wrong namely to tell secrets to those that are not worthy. I wanted what I wanted at any cost and that’s exactly what I paid for it.
“Please forgive my transgressions of me. I am the only one that can do it. Why is this my world? I chose it to be so, to accept the good and the evil.
Sorry! Its too late.
I got you all talking!
But I am still keeping the silence!”
